Dr. Tilak Jha is currently an Associate Professor at the Times School of Media, Bennett University. He is a regular presence at national and international forums on media, governance, and international relations, having spoken at platforms including the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG), the Indian Ministry of Defence, and the India–China Media Forum. In 2024, he was invited to deliver the keynote address on “Journalism and AI” at the Sixth Journalism Workshop hosted by the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Entertainment, University of Roma Tre, Italy. During the first Trump presidency, Dr. Jha covered the Sino–US trade war for the BBC, bringing nuanced perspectives to a rapidly evolving geopolitical and economic contest. His professional engagements have spanned formal reporting and informal diplomacy, collaborating with scholars, politicians, and diplomats. Dr. Jha is a former Asian Future Leaders Scholar (2014–2016) at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University, under the Bai Xian Foundation, Hong Kong. In China, he volunteered with the Woodpecker Food Safety Centre, the country’s first food safety NGO, and worked as a Copy Editor with the Shanghai Daily. Dr. Jha serves on the editorial board of Discover Global Society, a SCOPUS-indexed journal published by Springer Nature. His most recent work is the edited volume Dynamics of World Politics and 21st Century Asia (Bloomsbury, 2024).
