Dr. Tara Kartha

Dr. Tara Kartha is a Distinguished Fellow at the United Service Institution of India and was the former Director at the National Security Council Secretariat, Government of India. She was also the former Director (Research & Analysis) at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), where she led work on regional security, terrorism, and great power dynamics, while also building institutional outreach and partnerships. Previously, she was the Senior Jennings Randolph Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace, Washington, DC. During the tenures of five National Security Advisers, her focus was primarily on Afghanistan and Pakistan, terrorism in the neighbourhood, and monitoring the impact of these developments on radicalisation within India.
