Organisation for Research on China and Asia (ORCA)’s Director Eerishika Pankaj delivered an Expert Lecture on “What Does it Mean to Study China: From Classroom Knowledge to Policy and Career Pathways” for undergraduate students of FLAME University. The Expert Lecture, conducted as part of ORCA- FLAME University MoU on Academic and Research Cooperation, focused on offering guidance and practical insights on leveraging knowledge on China for career development.


She addressed critical questions such as how the Party-State sustains and consolidates power, and how it can be analyzed in real time. She also guided students in researching China through primary sources and highlighted various misconceptions to avoid while researching China. 


She concluded the session by encouraging students to analyze China through a policy lens and to actively engage with ORCA to develop a nuanced understanding of the country.
