On November 11 and 13, 2025, Senior Research Associate Omkar Bhole and Research Associate Ophelia Yumlembam represented the Organisation for Research on China and Asia (ORCA) at two General Body Meetings hosted at FLAME University, Pune, as part of ORCA’s ongoing research and academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the university.
During these sessions, the ORCA team introduced the organization’s mission, core research domains and key initiatives to a diverse audience of undergraduate students. The meetings also spotlighted the collaborative output stemming from the partnership, with several publications authored by FLAME University students during their ORCA internships and research projects receiving special mention.
The team also appreciated Professor Divya Balan for her unwavering support and guidance in successfully implementing the MoU.
Participants were introduced to the range of research, internship and publication opportunities facilitated by the FLAME-ORCA partnership. The sessions witnessed robust engagement, drawing over 70 students from a range of academic disciplines who expressed keen interest in future collaboration with ORCA’s initiatives.
These interactions further strengthen the academic exchange between FLAME University and ORCA, and underscore the growing enthusiasm among early-career scholars to contribute to research and policy work on contemporary Asian affairs.
